Steal An Egg Index: Pet Values, Eggs & Update Times for the Roblox Game

About the Project

Steal An Egg Index is an unofficial companion site for Steal An Egg, a Roblox game where players grab eggs from zones, hatch them and collect pets that earn money every second. Every week brings a Saturday update with new pets and zones, and most guides stop keeping up after a few weeks. This one is rebuilt from data, so it stays current without anyone rewriting it.

What’s on the Site

• Pet index and values: every pet with its base income per second, rarity, egg, zone and drop chance
• Income calculator: what a pet earns at its weight and mutation, using the wiki’s formula
• Next update and Admin Abuse time: a countdown taken from the game’s official Roblox event listings, with the time in your own zone
• All eggs and zones with the Speed you need
• A page for every pet, zone and official update

How It Stays Current

• Pet data is synced from the Steal An Egg Wiki (CC BY-SA) three times after each Saturday update, because the wiki fills in new pets over several days.
• Update times are checked every day against the game’s official events feed on Roblox.
• Each sync rebuilds the whole site, and a self-check blocks the deploy if a page would disappear or lose content.
• No ads and no sign-up.

Technical Stack

• Site: Astro, fully static, on Cloudflare Workers
• Data: a Python pipeline that reads the wiki’s data module and the Roblox events API
• Schedule: launchd jobs on a small home server
